ABOUT BLACK HIVE FILMS

Stories deserve more than headlines.

Black Hive Films is an independent documentary production company dedicated to investigating complex human stories with integrity, empathy, and a commitment to truth.

Our work explores the intersection of crime, justice, trauma, military service, psychology, and the lasting impact these events have on victims, families, communities, and those whose lives become part of the story.

We believe meaningful documentaries don't begin with answers. They begin with questions, careful research, and a willingness to listen.

Our Mission

We create investigative documentaries that move beyond headlines to examine the people, circumstances, and systems surrounding life's most difficult moments.

Every project is guided by a commitment to accuracy, thoughtful storytelling, and respect for everyone affected.

Our Approach

Every Black Hive Films project is built through extensive research and firsthand reporting.

Our process may include:

• Interviews with victims' families, investigators, attorneys, military personnel, experts, witnesses, and others connected to each story.

• Review of court records, public documents, archival materials, photographs, letters, and other primary sources.

• On-location filming to better understand the places, people, and events that shaped each case.

We believe every perspective deserves to be heard, every claim deserves to be examined, and every conclusion should be earned through evidence.

Our Commitment

We recognize that every investigation involves real people.

Victims deserve to be remembered with dignity.

Families deserve compassion.

Viewers deserve honesty.

Our goal is not to tell audiences what to think.

Our goal is to provide the context that allows them to think for themselves.

Meet the Filmmaker

Black Hive Films was founded by Tracy Elizabeth, an independent documentary filmmaker with a background in forensic psychology and a passion for long-form investigative storytelling.

Her work focuses on asking difficult questions, pursuing overlooked perspectives, and creating documentaries that encourage deeper understanding rather than simple conclusions.

Some stories deserve more than a verdict. They deserve to be understood.
